Jeff Rees, Pastor
Dr. Jeffrey Rees, is pictured with his wife, Martha. In addition to serving as senior pastor for over 20 years in Texas and New Jersey, he has served in a variety of ministry positions; an adjunct professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Houston, TX; a consultant for church leadership issues in national and international congregations and conference forums; as a Chaplain for Marketplace Chaplains, USA; as spiritual director and teacher for Journey to Damascus retreats through the Galveston-Houston Diocese. Jeff and Martha have three grown children; Brandon, Nathan, and Raquel.
Scott Denton, Family Pastor
Scott Denton joined the Grace family in May of 2010 after serving as Family and Teaching Pastor at a church plant in Sugar Land, Texas. He has a beautiful wife, Amy, three children (ages 11, 9 and 6) with one more on the way. Scott has lived in the Houston area all of his life. He has a B.A. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, a M.Ed. from Sam Houston State University and is currently working on his Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has no idea when he’ll be finished with that. After college, Scott began a career in the educational system, serving as a teacher and administrator for 11 years. He enjoys teaching God’s Word, hanging out with kids and has a passion to see families grow closer to God and each other. His responsibilities at Grace include all things “family”.
Elise Rees, Associate of Ministries
Elise Rees grew up in Tyler, Texas. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University in December 2007 with a degree in Christian Studies and Communication. In the past five years, Elise has worked with several different youth groups. The summer before moving to Dallas, she served as a youth intern and worship leader in Shreveport. While attending school in Dallas, Elise led worship for a congregation and youth group, serving as a small group leader, and focusing on the girls’ ministry. At Grace, Elise is the Associate of Ministries. She oversees the administrative duties of the church. Planning and organizing Sunday mornings and other events and activities at Grace.
Nathan Rees, Worship Leader
Director of Student Ministries

Nathan Rees grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Music Business and Vocal Performance. For six years, Nathan worked with Second Baptist Church of Houston’s Production, Worship, and Youth. While at school, Nathan led worship and helped out with youth ministries throughout the Dallas area. For ten years now, Nathan has been developing as a worship leader. He has chosen to call Grace home and serve as Worship Leader and Director of Student Ministries. He oversees the entire Worship Ministry and Production Team. He also serves as director of Grace Student Ministries by building relationships with young people and bringing them closer to God.
